hei_INNOVATION, the transfer agency at Heidelberg University, supports university members in bringing knowledge and innovation to where they create real impact – the society and the market.

hei_INNOVATION connects bright minds, fosters open collaboration and builds bridges between the university, industry, startups, cultural creators and the public.

To achieve this, the transfer agency provides support and consultation for developing business ideas and business models. hei_INNOVATION also and supports future founders in applying for funding to get their startup of the ground. The transfer agency offers entrepreneurship education, facilitates knowledge transfer projects, organizes networking events for the entrepreneurial community and provides suitable offices and spaces for startups and future founders.

hei_INNOVATION is the central point of contact for supporting and implementing transfer activities at Heidelberg University with the motto “Ignite. Elevate. Collaborate.” It is, in short, a hub for future-driven ideas.

At the German Biotech Days 2025, we are looking forward to meeting SMEs and big industry interested in transferring research into application.
